On Saturday, November 8, B-CC’s Varsity Girls’ Soccer team dominated Severn Park, securing a 2-0 win in the State Semifinals, leading them to the State Finals. Going into this game, the Lady Barons were anxious but determined to win. Junior Captain Claire Yonly scored both of the powerful goals that led the Barons to the win.
At half-time, the score was 1-0. The second goal was scored in the middle of the second half from the right side of the field, flying over the goalie’s head. B-CC Goalie Brooke Doukouris made multiple saves and prevented any goals from Serven Park. The game was action-packed, with one yellow card to players from both teams. Though it was both a mental and physical challenge, the Barons pushed through and performed at their highest potential.
Junior Billie Margulis said, “A lot of people showed up for the game with a lot of energy, standing on their feet and cheering for the girls.” The Barons played an impeccable game that secured them their spot in the State Finals.
This Saturday, November 15, the Lady Barons will face Perry Hall at 5:00 p.m. at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for the State Finals. Come Support the Barons!
