With tryouts officially concluded for the spring Track and Field team, B-CC track athletes have already hit the streets of Bethesda to meet their goals of being faster and stronger. The boys team has approximately 48 athletes, while the girls team has roughly 44 athletes. Returning Junior Tytan Hinkson said, “I am competing in Nationals, but can’t wait to get the spring season started.”

B-CC looks forward to facing strong competition starting on April 3 involving a dual meet with Walt Whitman High School. The team will end its season with the Montgomery County Public Schools Championship on May 8-9, 2024 and the 4A Outdoor Track and Field State Championship over Memorial Day weekend. A week in, Head Coach Gildon Kirk is excited for the season. He said, “Some runners are still competing in winter track, but the spring season is going to be a big one.” Returning Junior John Dale, remarked, “It felt good to be back out there and running again.”
