The Barons lost to the Quince Orchard Cougars on Wednesday, Sept. 20th, making this game their first loss of the season; however, they look to bounce back against their biggest rival, Winston Churchill High School, tonight.

B-CC faced off against state finalist Quince Orchard in a game that was anything but normal. Quince Orchard scored first in the battle between the two incredible teams in the early minutes of the game. However, the game was quickly canceled after thunderstorms crashed over the field, and sent the players packing back home. The action picked up two weeks later as the Barons traveled back to Quince Orchard, energized to come back from behind. Senior Kate Campbell shared, “It is difficult to go into a game a point down, but we were determined to keep pressing and taking shots on goal.”

Physicality and grit were major factors in the game as yellow cards were handed out to both teams by the time the final whistle pierced the air. Unfortunately, the Barons fell short against the Cougars with a score of 2-0.

The Barons suffered a tough loss this past Wednesday, but have even more tests coming up. With the big game tonight against Winston Churchill, it will be motivation for the Barons to bounce back and secure a win. Churchill has been dominant this year with a record of 2-1-1, and this match-up promises to provide an electric game in the Bulldogs backyard.
