Lightning Gets in the Way of Soccer

This week was an eventful one for the boys soccer team, after last Friday’s home game against Quince Orchard was cancelled 10 minutes into the match due to lightning. The Barons also sustained a difficult 1-0 overtime loss to Damascus this past Wednesday evening, despite being the favored team. The game against Quince Orchard was rescheduled for Saturday, September 23 at 10 a.m.

Senior and starting goalie Noah Brown told The Tattler, “The worst thing we can do is let a loss crush our confidence. We just need to realize that sometimes it takes a tough loss to get where we want to be.” A number of other players highlighted the lack of goal scoring as an area that the team needs to improve on this season.

Junior Finn Dupin said, “The best thing we can do right now is move on and keep working.”  The Barons continue their season on Monday night at 7:15 p.m. against Magruder at The Guck.
