B-CC Charity Month is Here

The vote is in! B-CC students have chosen to partner with Feed the Fridge for B-CC’s annual charity month fundraiser. Every year, B-CC sets aside the month of January to dedicate the community to selecting and raising money for a charity.

“Feed The Fridge provides meals from local restaurants and distributes them in refrigerators throughout the area,” B-CC Co-Community Service Chair Kate Campbell explained. “This cause is extremely important because it works to combat food insecurity in Montgomery County and the DC area.

Feed The Fridge has provided over 700,000 free meals to those in need, and B-CC students can contribute to this number by getting involved in B-CC’s charity month activities.

In addition to online donations, students can buy shirts, baked foods, and other goods at school events. On certain days, students can even visit restaurants where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to B-CC’s charity fundraiser.

For specific dates and times, check the Charity Month calendar provided by the SGA on their @schoolwidebcc Instagram account. B-CC SGA is also accepting food donations in the front lobby’s fridge.
