B-CC Boys Basketball fell to the Whitman Vikings in a thrilling match in the Regional Finals on Thursday, March 6. Unfortunately, this game ended the Barons playoff run.
The thrilling contest remained close throughout, with the two teams being separated by no more than 4 points. As the seconds ticked down in the fourth quarter, the Barons were down by 3 points. With about 10 seconds left, Junior Tim Byrd drove to the basket for a layup, securing the two points and drawing a foul. Down by 1, Byrd had to make his free throw to tie the game and send it to overtime. Byrd sunk the shot.
B-CC took the lead in overtime, but the Vikings quickly came back. In the last 2 seconds, the Vikings drew a foul and took a two-point lead, ultimately winning the game.
