The Barons Varsity Tennis Team had matches this week on Friday, April 26 at Gaithersburg and hosted Wheaton on Monday, April 29 for Senior Night. B-CC crushed both teams without losing a single match.

Against Gaithersburg, Sophomore Evan Scheck won the singles one match, quickly followed by Junior Eytan Gurevich who won the singles two match. Every other match was won by forfeit because Gaithersburg could only field two athletes.

On Senior Night against Wheaton, the seniors shined in their final ever home match at B-CC. Senior Mack Fisher won his doubles one match with Junior Captain Jack Jablon. Senior Captain Eli Hardwick and Senior Jonah Peters cruised through the doubles two match.

When asked for a comment about the season, Senior Captain Eli Hardwick said, “I’d say we had a really great season, overall, and had some really close good wins. [I’m] very excited about Counties and States coming up.”

The Barons ended the regular season on a high note, earning the honor of Co-division Champions. B-CC competes in Counties on Monday, May 6, at Walt Whitman High School.
