Following a rough patch of games, Boys Lacrosse bounced back with a huge away win over Winston Churchill High School. Coming into the matchup, Churchill had won two straight games. B-CC was on a 4-game skid. In a nail-biting matchup, B-CC pulled through in a 9-8 win on Friday, April 12.

The win over Churchill sparked a winning streak, as the Barons dominated Paint Branch on Monday and Seneca Valley on Wednesday, winning both games by double digits.

During the win streak, Freshman Max Randazzo and Junior Evan Williams shined, scoring multiple goals in all three games. The defense also found its rhythm. The defense has held back to back-to-back opponents to under nine goals, two of which were held to under five.

The confidence of the team has improved significantly over the past week. “I could see us winning out and finishing 8-4,” said Sophomore Owen Isaacson.

The Barons’ next matchup is this Friday against Gaithersburg, who holds a 1-5 record.

Churchill was never on top of the 4A division. It was Walt Whitman with a 5-1 record.
