Bocce wraps up their regular season

This weekend, on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., B-CC Bocce is set to play in the MCPS Divisional and County Championships at Clarksburg High School to begin their post-season run.

Last Wednesday, B-CC played their final game of the regular season, a makeup match against Wootton High School, originally scheduled for Jan. 17. The match was postponed due to inclement weather. Wootton defeated B-CC in a close game, two sets to one.

B-CC looked to keep their winning streak alive against Richard Montgomery High School at home on Jan. 22. B-CC opened up the game with a tight first-set win by one point to take an early lead. The match came down to the wire, but sadly, B-CC lost the second two sets by one point each, losing the match two to one. Junior superstar Cole Tartal missed on a late opportunity in the third set to take the lead for the Barons.

Bocce’s first game of the new year, after their win against Walter Johnson before winter break on Dec. 18, had them facing off and winning against Whitman at home on Jan. 11. The team beat their rivals convincingly, winning the match 2-0 on the set score. The win boosted their record to 2-1 for the season. Junior Oliver Feinson said, “It was good to be back with the team after the break and put up another good win.”
