The Barons Varsity Golf team took on States at The University of Maryland’s Golf Course. The Barons sent an impressive five golfers to compete and represent B-CC. They combined for a team score of 346 at the State semi-final which earned B-CC 13th out of 16 schools. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to keep B-CC’s state championship hopes alive, and they were eliminated. The individual scores from the round are listed below:

Sr. Captain Asher Lewis: 82

Jr. Matias Losada: 86

Sr. Captain Bennett Galper: 89

So. Ferris Smith: 89

Fr. Evelyn Dobbs-Sohn: 95

Sr. Captain Asher Lewis scored low enough to move on to the next round. On Wednesday, Oct. 25th, he was B-CC’s lone representative for the Individual Boys 4a/3a State Championship. Lewis shot an impressive 81 on the round, which earned him a tie for 37th place. When asked about what it meant to be the sole B-CC representative at States, Lewis said, “It was a great honor to represent B-CC, especially on Wednesday competing alone. I was there for the team more than [for] myself. Hopefully, the team can keep on playing well and make a name for ourselves in the future.
