Girls volleyball has extended their winning streak to three games after clutch wins over Walter Johnson and Churchill.

On Monday, September 18th, the girls steamrolled the Churchill Bulldogs. In front of the home fans, the Barons were able to win 3-1 with scores of 22-25, 25-13, 25-19, and 25-22. This was a huge win that showcased the team’s ability to win tough games.

Later last week, on Wednesday, September 20th, the Barons were able to pull out a close, back-and-forth battle that went all five sets with scores of 14 B-CC – 25 WJ, 25-13, 25-18, 22-25, and 15-5. Following the game, Junior Audrey Kong shared, “Everyone played really well.” A couple of standouts from the game were Junior Mariya Carson’s kills and Junior Carolina Parkhurst’s blocks. When asked how the team is able to win these close games Carolina said, “We play like a team rather than six individuals, and we have also been very energetic on the court.” With the win, the Barons moved to 1-0 in conference play.

The team looks to keep the good times coming as they face Walt Whitman at home on Tuesday, September 26th at 6:30. The Barons lost 3-1 at the hands of Whitman last season, so they are hoping to bounce back this year.
