The B-CC versus Churchill football game faced heavy thunderstorms on Friday night. Because of the unplayable weather conditions, the game was canceled and postponed to Saturday morning. B-CC started the game strong but eventually fell to Churchill (2-0) with a final score of 28-7.

In the opening quarter, Junior John Dale forced a fumble after a B-CC turnover on downs, which Senior Izzy Thier picked up, positioning the offense on the nine-yard line. The Barons then went back and forth with the Bulldogs until Sophomore Andre Ekani scored a 14-yard rushing touchdown with 6 minutes left in the half.

Following halftime, B-CC wound up on the wrong end of Senior and Villanova commit David Avit, who tallied three of the four total touchdowns scored by Churchill.

The Barons look to end their losing streak tonight against Poolesville (0-2). If the Barons win the game, it could seriously affect playoff matchups later, given that only nine games remain in the season. The team also hopes to gain momentum going into the Homecoming matchup against Kennedy on September 22.
