The Army Continues their Heater as they Cruise through Playoffs
Regional Semifinals against rival Walter Johnson is tonight at 6!
The girls will face off against a robust Walter Johnson team who got the best of them earlier this season, defeating the army 12-5.
In a dominant performance from the girls on senior night, the army beat Kennedy 19-0, ending their season with a record of eight wins and four losses, which locked in the three seed for playoffs. Leading the goal count were seniors Claire Leadman Cella Shanely, with five and four goals, respectively. Also netting multiple goals that night were seniors Lily Koakowski and Allie Smith.
They continued their dominance with a crushing 16-0 win in the first round of the playoffs against Richard Montgomery. Shout out to Junior Ella Morton for back-to-back shutout games in goal. The team won 16-0, easily advancing to the Regional Semifinals on the backs of Senior Malia Adams with five goals and four goals from both senior Cella Shanely and freshman Maddie Mcmanus.
Now, as the girls end their season looking as good as they have at any point this year, they go into a hostile playoff environment against Walter Johnson.
Show out and cheer loudly for the girl’s lacrosse team. Purchase your ticket on GoFan before they’re all sold out! Good luck girls!
