On January 31, 2026, Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of broadcast journalist Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing from her home near Tucson, Arizona. Guthrie was last seen at her house in the Catalina Foothills area after a family dinner. Concern grew when she failed to log on to a scheduled virtual church meeting the next morning, which family members say was unusual. They contacted authorities shortly after.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI are working closely to lead the investigation. Officials say there are signs she may have been taken against her will, and the case is being treated seriously. However, no arrests or suspects have been made.
Investigators are reviewing home surveillance footage and following up on tips from the public. A reward of more than $200,000 is being offered for information that could help bring her home safely.
Authorities say the investigation is still active and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
