Another season of memorable choreography, controversial scoring, and an unforgettable cast has come to an end with the “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 Finale, which aired on Tuesday, November 25. At the end of the night, which contained three daunting rounds of dance, the Mirrorball was presented to the star with the highest combined total of fan votes and judges’ points. After showing the most improvement, best technique, and highest energy over the course of the season, the Mirrorball champion was…
Robert Irwin, with his partner Witney Carson.

The Irwin family name has been well-loved long before Robert’s journey on “Dancing with the Stars” (DWTS). His father, Steve Irwin, was a renowned Australian zookeeper and wildlife conservationist. Steve’s fame emerged from his TV show, “Crocodile Hunter,” which led to his nickname as “The Crocodile Hunter.” He believed that his enthusiastic spirit, as displayed while interacting with dangerous species on the show, would raise positive awareness for endangered species. Throughout his time filming the show, Steve and his wife, Terri Irwin, gave birth to two children, Bindi and Robert. The two of them continued to preserve Steve’s legacy as zookeepers, and Bindi’s rise to TV stardom sparked from her “Dancing with the Stars” win in 2015. Ten years after she was presented with the Season 21 Mirrorball trophy, her brother Robert was announced as one of the celebrities for Season 34. Unfortunately, their father Steve was not able to witness either of their dancing accomplishments, as he passed due to a stingray wound to the heart in 2006. Both Bindi and Robert dedicated one of their DWTS routines to their father in memory of his life.
Robert took to the “Dancing with the Stars” stage on September 16, 2025, performing a jive to “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf, alongside pro Witney Carson. He entered the show with zero dance experience, but one could say the technique runs in the family. Since week one, Robert was beloved for his energetic and cheerful spirit, as well as his devotion to improvement.
Season 34 marks pro Witney Carson’s 14th season on “Dancing with the Stars,” and is now officially her second time taking home the Mirrorball trophy. Her first win was with celebrity Alfonso Ribeiro, who is now the show’s co-host. Fans have eagerly anticipated her second win, after she was “robbed” of first place in season 27 with actor Milo Manheim.
Apart from having the highest fan votes, Robert and Witney also received the highest combined total of judges’ scores: 460 out of 508 possible points. In the end, the duo’s well-deserved win proved that high energy, persistence, and true partnership can outshine anything on the dance floor.
