The Girls’ Varsity team lost a high-energy match against Sherwood High School. The 3-1 loss allowed the team to reflect and reset going into their game against Norwood.
On October 9th, the Barons hosted the Dig Pink game against Northwood. The Dig Pink game is a tribute to the Dig Pink Foundation and its fight against breast cancer. Fans are encouraged every year to come decked out in pink to show their support.
The Barons came out on top against Northwood to secure another win toward their overall record. They dominated the court with a 3-0 win to end the week strong.
Junior Emma Koeppel attended the game to show her spirit and shared her thoughts about the game. “I think the game has high significance because they get donations for the Dig Pink Foundation, and it raises money for a really good cause.” She also noted that it was touching to see the community come together. This night was particularly important to her because she wanted to show her support for the cause. Koeppel voiced, “I hope it sends hope, and whether someone has lost someone due to it or is currently dealing with it, it can give them a sense of hope.”
