With hard work and energy on the court, the Girls Varsity Volleyball team has a record of 5-4, as they reach the halfway point in their season. With playoffs in the near future, the Barons have started preparing for the competition they will see in the postseason. At this stage in the season, many teams are settled in, and long practices and close matches are wearing them down, but not for the Barons Varsity Volleyball team; motivation is still powering them forward. “What keeps us motivated is our community. We have close relationships with each person on the team, and we know how important it is to one another to keep going and do well.” Junior Sasha Moriarty shared.
To stay ready and driven for playoffs, Sasha explains, “We are working super hard and doing everything we can to get better during practice.” They are getting the extra work in before practice as well. The team is in the weight room to work on all positions on the court, and it is a great way to bond off the court.
After having an impressive season last year, the Girls Varsity Volleyball team is excited for the playoffs and ready for the competition they will face. They will be a dangerous opponent for any team they go up against in the playoffs because of their grit during matches and their inability to give up.
