Do you need more information on college life? Come to the college fair at Bohrer Park on Friday, October 10, where representatives from over 40 colleges and universities will be participating to answer questions. This trip enables juniors and seniors to explore college options and get a sense of what college life is like. This fair is also an opportunity to make good impressions with the college recruiters, which can set the tone for the relationships that follow. College and Career Coordinator Ms. Heald claims, “they [the college representatives] often remember a student’s name and may recognize it when they are reviewing their application.”
This field trip is free of charge, taking place from 9:40 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with transportation provided by Montgomery County buses. Anyone interested in attending simply needs a signed permission slip from a parent or guardian; all other factors are taken care of. If planning to attend, it’s best to come prepared with questions. “Find out ahead of time which schools offer the programs you are interested in and ask them about the program,” Ms. Heald recommends.
