Ariana Grande, a world phenomenon, announced her 2026 Eternal Sunshine Tour on August 28, 2025. Grande has consistently been one of the leading pop stars due to her unique vocals, iconic performances, and overall influence on the music industry. Following her recent role as Glinda in the movie adaptation of Wicked, Grande has gained even more popularity.
Her new tour will consist of 41 nights, but in limited cities, with many shows taking place in one city at a time. Recently, she has received backlash due to her shows completely selling out in record time. Sophomore Alana Anathem, a big fan of Ariana Grande, described her experience with buying tickets as stressful: “I joined the ticket master queue the second it started, and I was already like 30,000th in line.” Because of Grande’s extreme popularity, her tours attract huge audiences.
Tickets are no longer available at face value, and fans report resellers listing tickets at excessively increased prices. According to Billboard, Ariana Grande recently addressed her fans’ concerns. Grande stated, “I hear you, and hopefully, we will be able to get more of these tickets into your hands instead of theirs. It’s not right.” By “theirs”, Grande refers to the computer bots that resell the tickets multiple times the original price.
The race for tickets has scared many fans into buying overpriced tickets off sketchy resale websites. Anathem states whether she successfully got the tickets: “I don’t know if I actually got them.” After the stressful original sale, Anathem added, “I gave up and bought from StubHub.”
Overall, it is evident that the Eternal Sunshine Tour is widely popular, and Ariana Grande’s fan base is willing to go the extra mile for tickets. However, the question remains: will these tickets actually end up in fans’ hands?
