The B-CC Cross Country team recently competed at Georgetown Preparatory School for their first invitational meet of the season on Saturday, September 6. The Barons competed against eleven other schools from the DC and Maryland area.
The meet opened with the varsity relays, in which teams of two from each school run a six-by-one-mile race, with each person running three miles total. The barons had an exemplary meet, with the boys placing first and the girls placing third. Showout performances from Michael Habib and Tobin Connelly, placing third overall, along with Peter Lanpher and Daniel Skendaj, placing fourth, helped drive the boys to their compelling victory.
This week, the team races against Whitman in a divisional meet on Tuesday, September 8. It’s their first divisional meet of the season, and with both the girls and the boys going undefeated in these races last year, the Barons’ hopes are high for another title in 2025.
