The B-CC Girls Varsity Soccer team heads into another exciting season with high hopes. On Monday, September 8th, the team is set to take on Northwest at 7:15 p.m. on Northwest’s field. Senior Captain Mathilda Decosse explained, “This season, the ultimate goal is to make it to states. We know that this group has what it takes; we just have to work hard and stay focused!”
Last year, the team experienced many ups and downs, with multiple wins but also frustrating losses, including a defeat against Whitman in the Battle of Bethesda Cup and a first-round playoff loss to Walter Johnson. “This season, I am most excited for the Battle of Bethesda against Whitman. I think we are prepared to beat them, and it’s always exciting to take them on at home,” Decosse said.
With many returning players and new additions, the team has built a strong community both on and off the field. New strategies and formations aim to lead the Barons far this season, alongside Coach Travis, who is in his second year of coaching at B-CC.
The Lady Barons are ecstatic for Monday’s matchup, ready to show Northwest what they’ve been preparing for all preseason. Win or lose, this team is prepared to work hard and make the 2025-2026 season a successful one.
