The BCC boys lacrosse team has kicked off its 2025 season with a pair of intense, down-to-the-wire games that could’ve gone either way.
On April 2, the Barons faced off against Whitman in what turned into an instant classic. The game went all the way into triple overtime, with both teams trading goal and refusing to lose. In the end, Whitman managed to edge out a narrow 11–10 win. While BCC didn’t walk away with the victory, the Barons proved they can compete with anyone.
Just two days later, BCC was back at it against Churchill in another thriller. It was a tight, back-and-forth battle until Churchill pulled ahead with a five-goal lead. But the Barons weren’t done — they stormed back to tie the game at 9–9. Churchill ultimately snuck out with a 10–9 win, but BCC showed serious grit and resilience.
Despite the tough losses, the Barons have shown they have the talent, toughness, and fight to make a statement this season. If they keep bringing this level of intensity, they’re going to be a team to watch.
