With spring sports rolling in, the B-CC Girls Lacrosse Team is preparing for another strong season. Last year, they finished the regular season with a solid 7-5 record. Despite a tough stretch of consecutive losses to rivals Whitman and Walter Johnson, the team is determined to return stronger this year. “We hope to win our big games and we’ll definitely be working hard heading into this season,” said Junior Grace Krupinski.
The Baron Army lost eight key seniors from last year, but this season’s senior class is ready to make their mark. Last season, the team’s offense was able to hold its own against some of the county’s best teams and dominate the field.
One of their most commanding victories last year came against Gaithersburg, where they dominated with a score of 13-1, but it didn’t stop there. The Barons’ regular season finale was against Wootton High School and the offense crushed the competition with another 13 goals.
The Barons will open their season at home on March 21 against Blake. In the meantime, the team will continue with rigorous training to prepare for the games ahead.
