Free People Movement opened at 4801 Bethesda Ave. in Bethesda on Friday, February 21.
FP Movement, a branch of the Free People brand, was launched in 2012 with a main focus on empowering people through movement. The brand’s mission is to support fitness, wellness, and happiness through its activewear.
The brand partners with top studios and expert instructors nationwide to host fitness events, including run days, hike days, and mat-based classes in over 15 cities. These activities are aimed at creating an inclusive fitness environment for customers. FP Movements also donates 1% of every purchase to Girls Inc., their long-time philanthropic partner.
Sophomore Billie Margulis said, “Bethesda lost a lot of trendy stores during the pandemic, but since so many people shop here, it makes sense to bring new ones in.”
The new location aims to create a space where fitness, fashion, and community come together. FP Movement is open Monday – Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM and closes an hour early on Sundays.
