Jeni’s ice cream is made from scratch, using unique recipes that its founder, Jeni Britton, has perfected over the course of over 20 years. Jeni’s also offers delivery for selected flavors. These all start at $12 per pint. At the physical store, cones start at $5.25 and go up to $9.25 depending on the number of scoops.
For those prefering something a little healthier, Yogitop, located on Bethesda Row, is the right choice. Yogitop is a frozen yogurt shop that also sells ice cream and smoothies. They also have vegan options. The price for a frozen yogurt usually ranges between $1 and $10, making them another affordable place for snacks!
Another shop for finding healthy snacks is Berries and Bowls, also located on Elm Street. They are known for their fruit bowls — essentially frozen smoothies with yummy toppings. Berries and Bowls offers acai, pitaya (dragonfruit), kale, spirulina (a type of high-protein algae), coconut, and jackfruit as bowl bases, and also have a selection of smoothies, juices, and avocado toast on their menu. They also deliver on Uber Eats and Doordash for those wanting a snack from the convenience of their home. Bowls start between $12 and $14, add-ins cost $0.50 each, and additional fruit costs $1.
For those looking for savory bites, Andy’s Pizza is the perfect choice! Within five minutes walking distance from B-CC, Andy’s Pizza is on East West Highway, making it one of the closest places to buy lunch out for B-CC students. Single slices range from $4.50 to $7, while entire pies go for $22 to $33. Andy’s Pizza also has a lunch combo — 2 slices and a drink for $10. In addition, they have a selection of salads, chicken wings, and chicken tenders that are priced between $6 and $12. Andy’s Pizza does not offer delivery but they do have online orders for pick-up.
