The boys soccer team celebrated their seniors in a joint ceremony with the girls team prior to their matchup against the Kennedy Cavaliers on Thursday, October 10. As each seniors name was called they walked with their families through a tunnel of their supportive teammates as their chosen song played over the loudspeakers.
The boys spirits were high as they got off to a hot start in their matchup against the Cavs. The quick start was manufactured as Senior Midfielder Shaan Bhattacharyya scored a goal in the fifth minute to take a 1-0 lead. The stands erupted with excitement.
The Barons would unfortunately not be able to continue the momentum as they went scoreless for the rest of the game, conceding two second half goals to the Cavaliers. Senior night ended in an unfortunate 2-1 loss at the hands of the Cavs.
Last night, the Barons traveled to Einstein to take on the Titans. This time, they found themselves on the other side of senior night, spectating Einsteins celebrations. The Barons lost the game 2-1.
The boys are scheduled to close out the regular season at home against Springbrook on Saturday, October 16. They look to get on track as the season comes to a close and they head into the post season.
