Girls Soccer Senior Night is tomorrow, Thursday, October 10. The game starts at 5:15 and is followed by a joint ceremony with the boy’s soccer team. This year, we honor 12 seniors.
#7 Lauren Rich
Lauren’s favorite B-CC soccer memory is dancing during warmups. She thanks her parents for driving her to all of the far away games all these years, and thanks her uncle, Sean, for always encouraging her to work hard and be the best she can be.
#8 Ivy McConarty
Ivy has played outside back for the B-CC varsity for three years. She started playing with some of her Barons teammates in elementary school: as a Rowdie with MSI, then club with RUSH, and now with FCGB. Her favorite soccer memory is winning Battle of Bethesda her sophomore year.
#9 Sarah Schmeltz
Sarah has played soccer since preschool, from Takoma Park to Rock Creek Rowdies to Rush to now senior year B-CC. She thanks her friends, coaches, and family for helping her learn and grow as a player. She thanks her mom, dad, and Erin for supporting her soccer journey.
#12 Julia Holland
Julia has played soccer since she was two, starting with Takoma Park on a co-ed team. She moved on to the Maryland Rush Coyotes and later went to MSI Academy and currently plays for Bethesda Soccer Club. She plans to attend college after graduation and study to be a physical therapist.
#15 Jane Kolakowski
Jane has played soccer for 10 years, and played with the B-CC program for four years. Her favorite B-CC soccer memories have been dancing to the music while warming up for games (even though they aren’t really supposed to do that) and going swimming at the Hyatt junior year.
#19 Christine Huaman
Soccer will always be in Christine’s heart, forever and always. She thanks her friends for always training with her and never giving up on her even in the toughest times. She thanks her grandma, mom, dad and twin brother and lastly her aunt for bringing the family from Peru.
#20 Layla McBerry
Layla has been a part of B-CC girls varsity soccer for four years. She is also a member of the B-CC track team. Layla has played soccer for over 10 years. One of her favorite B-CC soccer memories is winning the Battle of Bethesda her sophomore year. Layla plans to play soccer at Bowdoin College.
#22 Alyssa Wiener
Alyssa, a center midfielder for B-CC soccer, has been playing since she was seven. Her favorite B-CC soccer memory was traveling to the Eastern Shore for a game and spending the day at the pool with her teammates. Alyssa thanks her coaches and parents for their support and guidance.
#24 Katie Mao
Katie, a center back, has been playing soccer since she was seven. Her favorite B-CC soccer memories are winning the Battle of Bethesda her sophomore year and the fun pasta dinners. She thanks coaches, Kurtz, Gary and Travis, and her parents for all of their support.
#25 Lily Heintz
Lily has been playing soccer since she was five years old. Her favorite soccer memory is team dinner. She thanks her parents, who coached her when she was younger and her sibling for always training with her.
#98 Frances Doyle
Frances has played soccer since second grade. She has been on the B-CC varsity for four years and has played striker and goalie. Her favorite memory is beating RM 6-0 in the season opener last year. She thanks her family, friends, and coaches. Frances will play basketball at Middlebury College.
#99 Riley Connor
Riley has been playing soccer for 10 years and goalie for eight. She loves all the friends she’s made through the game. Some of her favorite B-CC soccer memories are bathroom mosh pits, barbecue dads spirit days and team dinners. She’s been so inspired by all her teammates and friends.
