The Barons golf team pulled off a dramatic victory in a four-way match against Richard Montgomery, Sherwood and Wootton. The Barons took the win by only a 2-stroke difference, with Sherwood coming in second. The Barons posted a team score of 151.
Junior Emory Brown led the way for B-CC, showing his skill and leadership with an even-par score of 36. But, he is not the only one who led their team to this win. Senior Mattias Losada was 1-over par with a score of 37 and senior Mack Lieberman shot a score of 48. Golf might be a solo sport, but what matters most is how the team does overall.
The win was a statement for B-CC to show composure and depth under pressure. Each player delivered when it mattered the most. This win boosted B-CC’s confidence as the team gets ready for the postseason. Their next match will be at districts on Monday, Oct. 7.
