The Girls Flag Football team faced a tough start to their season with the first game ending in a loss against Damascus 53-0. In their second game against Einstein yesterday, the Barons came out stronger but ended up losing, 14-13.
The team showed tremendous growth and resilience. Their defense tightened up and only allowed 2 touchdowns. The offense was great with touchdowns from Shaye Strong-Jacobson and Kia Cordle.
Unfortunately, a missed extra point after one of the touchdowns ultimately ended in a loss. Despite the heartbreak, the team left the field with their heads held high, knowing they had made significant progress from their first game.
Their next game will be on Monday, September 16 at 6:00 pm at Paint Branch High School.
