Walt Whitman High School is currently in a shelter-in-place due to a bomb threat. According to a community message, “Walt Whitman is in a shelter in place due to an online threat to our school. All staff and students are safe and instruction is continuing. MCPD is on site and supporting our efforts.” This threat comes just days after a previous bomb threat to the school on May 17 and several incidents of bomb threats to Montgomery County Public Schools over the past month.
