The highlight performers in the match included the doubles 1 team of senior captain Chloe Wise and junior Elizabeth Vilardo, who took home a 6-0 6-0 win, as well as the singles 2, 3, and 4, who all won their matches handily, each only dropping 2 games each in their respective matches.
On Monday, April 15th, the Barons faced Poolesville at home. The final score of the match was a resounding 6-1 victory for B-CC. The standout performers of the match were the doubles 3 team of freshman Julia Pinto and freshman Lucy Barron, who took home a 6-0 6-1 victory. Finally, on Wednesday, April 17th, B-CC played Quince Orchard High School at home. In the end, the Cougars were no match for the Barons, with B-CC winning by a score of 5-2. The match saw many good performers, including another good day for the freshmen, with Privitera as well as Pinto and Barron both winning easily. Furthermore, the doubles 2 team of senior captain Sydney Seiler and senior Ella Hottel won easily, ending in a score of 6-3 6-1. “Now that we have beat teams we lost to in the past, we are going into Whitman with confidence,” commented Hottel.
B-CC will continue to try and extend their winning streak in the coming week, with a home Battle of Bethesda matchup against Walt Whitman coming next Wednesday, April 24th, as well as an away match against Blair next Thursday.
