After a hot start against Blake High School, B-CC boys’ lacrosse had a packed schedule in the last week, playing Quince Orchard, Sherwood, Walter Johnson and Whitman.
On Friday, April 5, the Barons hosted Quince Orchard in a makeup game. The game was close throughout as both teams exchanged the lead, but Quince Orchard eked out a 7-6 win.
B-CC traveled to Sherwood in the second of their back-to-back games on Saturday, April 6. The Barons started the game hot and went into halftime tied thanks to goals from Danny Loughlin and Max Randazzo. But, Sherwood pulled away in the second half for a 12-7 victory.
B-CC then hosted Walter Johnson on Monday. The game was neck-and-neck for four quarters, but in B-CC’s first overtime game of the year, WJ scored late to win 10-9.
B-CC’s losing streak continued against Whitman as they were defeated 11-6 on Wednesday. “Losing this many games in a row is tough, but we’re getting the harder games out of the way and will progress throughout the season,” said senior, Colin Schantz.
The four-game losing streak puts B-CC’s record at 1-4 on the season and last place in the 4A South conference for Montgomery County. B-CC travels to Churchill to play today at 7:15 p.m.
