The B-CC Cares Pantry, a PTSA-led initiative dedicated to economically aiding students, is reaching out to the community to support restocking its shelves. “The purpose of the B-CC Cares Pantry is to help B-CC students and families who need additional assistance with food, toiletries, and clothes,” explains Karen Trackman, the Co-Chair of B-CC Cares. The pantry is supported by the generous school community to enable its use year-round but currently needs some extra assistance.
Trackman echoes, “Right now, we are most in need of toiletries, cereal, and snack bars. We also need canned tuna/chicken, peanut butter, smaller bottles of cooking oil, and shelf-stable milk.”
You can help replenish the pantry by purchasing items from the Amazon B-CC Cares Pantry Wishlist. You can also purchase items from your preferred store to either be delivered or personally dropped off at B-CC’s front office during school hours. Monetary donations are welcome through the online donation site to support the pantry’s effort.
“Donating to the pantry is a great way to give back to the community and help our students here at B-CC,” says Brielle Anderson, a B-CC Junior. She adds, “It feels good to help others.”
