The Barons hosted Montgomery Blair High School’s Girls Basketball team on Tuesday, Jan. 30, in a game that was anything but a competition for the squad. B-CC ran away with the game as Senior Guard Anna Tercyak led the team with 15 points and helped propel the team to a 49-21 win. Playoffs are around the corner for B-CC, and it seems as if no one is going to stop the Barons from rolling through the competition.
The team met a challenge during a tough game against Paint Branch High School on Jan. 29 at the Falcons stadium. Monday night was a test for the 11-1 Barons as the score was neck and neck through the first 32 minutes. But when the final whistle blew, the Barons pulled out the win by a score of 48-43 with Junior Frances Doyle leading the team in points with 13.
Junior Frances Doyle was also the leading scorer of the team’s Jan. 26 game against Quince Orchard High School. She scored 16 points, and led the Barons to a crushing 50-24 victory. From the first whistle, the Barons jumped on the Cougars and pulled out the win.
The success for the Barons has been no surprise for any of the players or coaches. Star Junior guard for the Barons, Elisha Robinson, said, “We have gotten super close this year and have really bonded as a team which has helped us play good team basketball.” With such a close and high-performing group, B-CC is one of the most watched and feared teams throughout the entire county this season.
