Tonight, Jan. 26, the Barons take on Quince Orchard High School at home at 7:15 p.m.. Looking ahead to next week, the boys have three games scheduled: Monday, Jan. 29 against Paint Branch High School, a game that they were supposed to play earlier in the season but was postponed due to snow. The following day, Boys Basketball travels away to square off with Montgomery Blair High School on January 30. To round out the week, the team travels to Walter Johnson High School on Friday, Feb. 2, to take on the Wildcats in their second meeting of the season at 7:15 p.m. The Barons took the first meeting, winning handily by a score of 63-51. Their rivals look for revenge, as the Barons look to sweep Walter Johnson for the second year in a row.

Boys Basketball has been on a tear for the past two games. After recently dismantling Wheaton High School by a score of 74-30 on Jan. 16, the team carried over their mentality for their game against Clarksburg. Senior Timmy Lawson said, “It is important that we win the games we are supposed to win.” The final score was 74-40, and it was never close.

The boys are now 8-3 for the year and are excited to take on the back half of their schedule, including a second meeting with rivals, Walt Whitman High School, on Feb. 16.
