In their last three games, Boys Basketball has won two and lost one, bringing their record to 4-1 so far.

On Wednesday, Dec. 13, they took on a strong Richard Montgomery High School team. Although the boys fought hard to the end, Richard Montgomery pulled ahead early with lethal shooting and never gave up the lead. The final score was 68-53.

Earlier this week, on Dec. 11, the boys took on Seneca Valley High School at home and fought the whole game. Going basket for basket, the match came down to the very end, with the Barons edging ahead of Seneca Valley to win the thriller by one point and a final score of 53-52. Senior Captain Carson Griffey commented, “It was not our best start, but we fought hard and found a way to win.”

Last Friday, Dec. 8th, the team traveled to Poolesville High School. After falling back by double digits early, they rallied back and took control of the game, winning by a score of 53-40. Rebounding was their secret weapon during the game, notching 20 more rebounds than Poolesville.

Barons travel to Springbrook High School tonight, Dec. 15, and take on the 3-1 Blue Devils. Next week, conference play begins. Tuesday, Dec. 19, Walter Johnson High School comes to B-CC to take on the Barons at 3:45 pm. Then the boys travel to Wootton High School on Dec. 21, to play their last game before winter break.
