B-CC girls basketball has always been a powerhouse since the beginning of the program, but this year there is a different feel. With only one senior graduating last year, the Barons have almost a full team of experience coming back to propel B-CC to success.
The Barons are not shy when it comes to their expectations of the upcoming season. Senior Guard Anna Tercyak expressed, “Our goal is to hopefully end the season with a state championship.” With nine upperclassmen on the Varsity team, it is no surprise the expectations are so high.
The Seniors on the team have been within the B-CC basketball program for years, as most have been on the Varsity squad since the first year they tried out. Senior Guard Anna Tercyak continued, “I know I am going to miss playing and being around my teammates once I graduate, so I am going to enjoy the season while it lasts.” With such leadership and skill coming from the senior class, the Barons hope to use everything they have left and achieve their challenging goal of receiving a State Championship.
With such hard competition throughout Montgomery County, the Barons are going to have to use everything they have to win it all. B-CC opens with Rockville next Tuesday, Dec. 5, and they look to begin their dominance from the start.
