The B-CC wrestling team expects a big season this year with its stacked roster. A few important wrestlers for the team this year include Junior Ethan Makle, who competes in the 113 weight class, Captain Nizhoni Deschene, who competes in the 157 weight class, and Dajourn Smith, who competes in the 215 weight class. In addition, Seniors Luke Smith (285, captain), and Seth Weaver (165, captain), are sure to be important leaders and role models for the team. Weaver commented, “I believe that if we work hard and do the right things this year, we can win the regional duals championship. I also expect that we will make a deep run at the state duals tournament.”
The Barons will open the regular season with a dual meet against Wheaton on Dec. 6. Junior Varsity will begin at 6:15 pm with Varsity following at 7:15 pm.
