The varsity golf team had one match this week on Tuesday, September 26 at Little Bennet Golf Course.
The Barons bounced back after a tough stretch of finishing in last place in two straight matches with a second-place finish against Sherwood, Richard Montgomery, and Poolesville High Schools. Poolesville finished in first place, followed by the Barons in second, Sherwood in third, and RM rounding out the pack in last place. When asked about Tuesday’s match, Junior Matias Losada said, “Yesterday’s match had unfortunate weather. It was cold and rainy, but the spirits were high and the scores were low.” The Barons had a combined score of 212 and the top five scorers from the round were as follows:
Sr Captain Asher Lewis: 40
Jr Lucas Losada: 41
Jr Matias Losada: 42
Jr Emmanuel Caunegre: 43
Sr Captain Bennett Galper: 46
The Barons take on Whitman, Sherwood, and Walter Johnson for their final regular match of the season on Oc. 10th at Needwood Golf Course.
