The Barons Look for Momentum as the Playoffs Approach

B-CC Mens Lacrosse home game against Northwood on April 21st was a must-win as they were on a 4-game losing streak. The offense has been stagnant this year, not putting up double-digit goals since the beginning of spring break. If the Barons wanted any momentum going into the playoffs, they had to win this game.

Feeling that pressure, the boys answered, taking an early lead and never looking back. B-CC defeated Northwood 20-6, demonstrating the offense’s potential. The win was a perfect way to get back on track for their senior night matchup against Wheaton on Tuesday.

The boys stayed hot during their senior night game against Wheaton with a dominant home victory. Will Harcourt, along with the entire B-CC defense, only allowed two goals, continuing their dominant stretch. B-CC won the matchup 19-2, which marked their second consecutive victory, featuring goals from Aaron Tiao, Danny Loughlin, and Johnny Bruun, along with a hat-trick of assists from Jake Williams.

After a slow 2-4 start, The Barons were back at .500 and looking to stay in the win column against Quince Orchard. Unfortunately, The Barons fell to Quince Orchard 18-12, bringing their record to 4-5 on the season. “It was a tough physical game,” said Senior attacker JP Housman, adding, “It sucks we couldn’t come out with the win but we are excited to run it back against Walter Johnson in the playoffs.”

B-CC has two games left in the regular season against Einstein and Kennedy to prepare them for the playoffs.
