Boys’ Lacrosse Suffers Recent Losses
“Go undefeated for the rest of the season, and gain momentum going into the playoffs.”
The Boys’ Lacrosse Team played Walter Johnson away on April 16th, coming off of back-to-back OT losses to Whitman and Wootton.
B-CC struggled to get their offense going against Wootton, scoring nine goals in the home loss.
During the away game, the offense continued to be lackluster, scoring six goals. Walter Johnson ultimately took home the win as the Barons suffered their third straight overtime loss. B-CC senior Aaron Tiao was able to get a couple of goals, but they were not enough to end the losing streak. Star attackman Danny Loughlin was out during this game due to a leg injury.
After the loss, the Barons looked to bounce back with another road game against Sherwood. Before the match, junior Danny Loughlin said, “Go undefeated for the rest of the season, and gain momentum going into the playoffs,” when asked about his goals for the remainder of the season.
Sherwood defeated B-CC, 15-9, giving B-CC their 4th consecutive loss. The Baron’s offense has put up single-digit goals in their past three games. In three of their first four games, B-CC put up 14 or more goals but since spring break there has been a notable decline.
The Barons have a two-game home stand upon them, playing Northwood and Wheaton in the coming week.
