The B-CC wrestling team left it all on the mat at the penultimate tournament of their season, finishing in third place out of the 18 teams with two first-place, two second-place, two fourth-place, and two sixth-place individual finishers.
This tournament, commonly known as the Patriot Classic, was held at Northern High School on January 6th and 7th.
B-CC junior Seth Weaver won his respective weight class, stating, “I’m really happy with the performance. Everyone wrestled hard; our hard work is paying off.”
Weaver was one of two first-place finishers, along with B-CC senior and team captain Sam Moffitt. Moffitt is a veteran on the team, being crowned captain this season. When asked about his performance, Moffitt had few words: “Dogged them ho*s.”
B-CC junior Adin Eisler added, “Watching my teammates Sam Moffitt and Seth Weaver compete in their championship rounds was very fun.” Weaver also remarked, “We will use this experience to keep improving.”
B-CC’s starting 11 wrestlers in the 2023 Patriot Classic included individuals at each of the following weight classes:

This tournament marked the 30th annual Patriot Classic, and, as usual, only high schools from the East Coast were inBarons Wresting performed well in the January Patriot Classic. attendance. Nevertheless, with only one more tournament remaining on the team’s schedule, these Barons aim to end the season on a high note.
